As we told you the other day, New Films International released Living Dark: The Story of Ted the Caver in limited theatres and on VOD on October 2nd (a digital rollout will follow shortly), and now we have a trailer to share.
If you haven’t read the Creepypasta centered around Ted the Caver, you probably should. There are tons of these creepy stories floating around the internet, but this is one of the few that’s actually engaging, well-written, and genuinely freaky.
Co-written and directed by David Hunt, Living Dark: The Story of Ted the Caver tells the story of two brothers who stumble across a mysterious opening to a cave. Their curiosity piqued, they decide to poke around to see what’s inside. As you may already have guessed, their exploration of the cave proves incredibly dangerous. When will people learn to leave well enough alone?

Living Dark tells the story of two estranged brothers, reunited for their father’s funeral. Attempting reconciliation, the brothers stumble upon the sealed entrance to a nearby cave, where they are slowly forced to confront the true, nightmarish cause of their father’s death.
Inside the hidden cavern, the brothers discover a fist-sized hole leading to an unexplored virgin passage. Ted and Brade descend into obsession, returning day after day in a relentless effort to widen the opening and gain access to the mysteries of the unknown passage beyond.
