We’re just a week out of seeing what Rob Zombie can do with his sequel Halloween II on August 28th, and to celebrate the film’s release Premiere Props is holding an auction of some of the film’s more exciting collectibles!
From the press release:
Premiere Props announced today they will be hosting an auction of over 500 iconic movie props and costumes used in the making of Dimension Films’ Halloween 2, which hits theaters on August 28, 2009. The auction will be broadcasted live across the Los Angeles Tribune station, available to over four million Time Warner, DirecTV and Dish subscribers.
The live auction takes place on Saturday, August 29, at Premiere Props’ warehouse in El Segundo, California (128 Sierra Street, El Segundo, CA 90245). There will be a preview from 9am – 11am, before the auction begins at 11am. Premiere Props will also have a 3 camera LIVE broadcast show. A donation from the auction will be made to the Entertainment Industry Foundation, one of the leading charitable organizations of the entertainment industry.
The Premiere Props warehouse will showcase each item, from the bloodiest, dirtiest, ripped costume to the last knife still covered in red blood. Those attending the auction will not only have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the bloody items on the bidding block, but gain a unique “behind the movie” experience. The live auction will include a special Q&A session as well as behind-the-scenes video footage and trailers from the movie. Bidders will gain insight into the work and effort it took to create Halloween and Halloween 2 and even get to use specially created Halloween paddles and lanyards as they bid on the iconic items up for auction!
“This is a highly anticipated auction for Premiere Props and the fans who have been waiting for this event since the last Halloween film,” says Dan Levin, Vice President of Marketing for Premiere Props. “These are the best, most iconic costumes and props from the film and we are excited to give fans this exclusive opportunity to bring something scarily terrific from Halloween 2 home.”
Fans can also place live bids online at iCollector.com with the preview beginning April 18 at 9:00 am and the live auction starting at 11:00 am.
