In honor of the upcoming release of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, we’ll be running a weekly blog from Christopher Chacon – a world-renowned Anomalist, Parapsychologist, and one of the world’s foremost authorities on the scientific exploration of paranormal, supernatural, and anomalous phenomena as well as the occult/metaphysics and mysticism.

The two clients (cases) I dealt with last weekend involved a reported possession (and the pending exorcism) and an abduction/close encounter. As always, before my involvement, both situations were required to have the appropriate psychological, physiological, environmental and circumstantial assessments independently performed to rule-out conventional explanations. While everyone adhered to my confidentiality and security requests, due to the need of translators, and a multitude of uncertainties, I must at all times remain open to all possibilities.
After conducting a cursory assessment of the environment and of the client being reported as possessed, I consulted to those about to conduct the exorcism and their professional associates. Like in many cases of this type, I suggest not performing the rituals and conducting further observations, which they did not do and proceeded with the exorcism ritual. I highly recommended psychological follow-up with everyone involved, especially family members, due to the level of trauma.
The close encounter case involved a family of five, all presently suffering from a variety of psychological trauma and deep tissue burns similar to those exposed to high frequency microwaves (or gamma rays, for example). All family-members independently described the blinding UFO as it approached them and the various physiological and atmospheric affects, then the next moment they were all wandering together in a haze through a field with no recollection of the five days that they were missing, nor how they got to their current destination.
Each day/night this week I am speaking with several select individuals who had an experience or continue to experience some manner of phenomena. Clients range from individuals/families to private businesses/corporations, from religious institutions to law enforcement. The individuals personally dealing with the phenomena-in-question also span a wide-range from farmers to businessmen, factory workers to soldiers. They describe encounters ranging from volatile poltergeist phenomena to precognitive nightmares, from all manner of close encounters to stigmata. While each may inquire about becoming a client, many do not meet my criteria for taking-on, but I do my best to counsel and empower those seeking help and assistance in the short time we have.
This coming weekend, my clients consist of the following situations;
- Referred by a Doctor and their Priest, a family of six claim to be the victims of a powerful “black magic curse” which is inflicting life-threatening physical harm upon them coupled with momentary horrific manifestations, as well as giving nightmares to anyone who attempts to intercede.
- A combination of law enforcement and academic researchers has reportedly trapped in a cave an unknown number of biped creatures that attacked two adults and a group of children. They described the creatures as appearing reptilian-like with high-functioning problem-solving skills.
- A small building is reportedly producing extremely volatile poltergeist activity, inflicting serious injuries to anyone that enters. The clients also claim the phenomena is spreading; now affecting families, living just adjacent to the building in question.

Synopsis:
The Ghost Dimension follows a new family, The Fleeges – father Ryan (Chris J. Murray), mother Emily (Brit Shaw), and their young daughter, Leila (Ivy George) – who move into a house and discover a video camera and a box of tapes in the garage. When they look through the camera’s lens, they begin to see the paranormal activity happening around them – including the re-emergence of young Kristi and Katie.
