You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

    • Cropsy

It sucks that i have no money to buy a decent TV with, but I just might buy the blu-ray. I caught the flick at Terror in the Aisles II in Chicago, and it totally lives up to the hype. Fantastic. So buy the damn thing and maybe we’ll get more movies that aren’t sequels, remakes, teeny horror, Etc!!!!

    • Dr.Zombie

The guy in the white mask is from the opening story, he is just standing there staring at Emma (Leslie Bibb) and then jumps into a car that passes by that has a bunch of teens in it.

    • Kindahuge

You know, I’ve been waiting to see this movie for two years. Many of us have and now it’s nothing but a Bluray promotion. Apologies to the filmmakers, but fuck Warner Brothers, I’m just grabbing it on torrent.

      • Daliah Lavi

You have the nerve to apologise to the filmmakers for stealing their film? Nothing can justify theft. Your lost sale will confirm to Warner Bros. they were right to go direct to dvd/blu. Not a cool thing to do!

    • hegemon13

Wow, the DVD is getting screwed. How much space does a commentary really take? Actually, it’s about 150-200MB, which they should easily be able to fit on a DVD9. No matter how good it is, this will be a rental only until it hits the bargain bin if they’re going to give us a package this crappy. Cripes, it’s not like they didn’t have time.

      • Mephistopheles

I’d understand if it was something that just wouldn’t fit/work on a DVD (like the Watchmen feature that has the director come onto the screen) or just an extra featurette. But it annoys off when the Blus get EVERYTHING of importance and the DVDs get zilch, especially when said features could easily work on a regular DVD. The fact that Blu-rays have much better quality overall should be incentive enough for people to upgrade without ripping them off with DVDs.

And I understand that eventually Blu-ray will probably be the dominant platform over DVD, but it’ll probably take time. It’s not just getting a new player, you also have to have a high definition television as well. The majority of people don’t have them yet.

(For the record, this isn’t a ‘personal’ thing as I already have an HDTV and I am planning on upgrading to Blu in December.)

    • Mephistopheles

They can’t even include the director’s commentary on the standard DVD?

“Its almost like the filmmakers and studio are flipped the bird to the fans”

Don’t be so naive, the film makers had nothing to do with Warner’s blu ray extras exclusive promotion of blu ray. It’s a business decision and nothing more.

      • theGoldenSimatar

I base my comment on a quote Fangoria has that the director made saying the reason why Blu-Ray is getting everything is because “thats the way things are moving nowadays”

That’s a scary thought. Sadly, I’m going to have to buy into it, because I really want to get the bells and whistles for this movie (I also wanted to get Watchmen on Blu-Ray too, thus necessitating I’ll have to buy a B-R player soon.) But I hate the idea that something as so basic as commentaries are going to start being left off DVD’s because the studios want people to pay more for movies now. It’s not because they look better than DVD’s, it’s purely out of bumping up theirs (and Sony’s) bottom line.

    • theGoldenSimatar

This is a rent for me. It’s totally bullcrap that all the special features are going to Blu-Ray. Its almost like the filmmakers and studio are flipped the bird to the fans who supported and eagerly awaited to gobble this film up as I’m pretty sure most people don’t have Blu-Ray players. Its a total crock in my opinion as what the regular DVD is basically a glorified VHS. It ain’t on my Buy List.

      • Uncle Creepy

Believe me, dude. Special features or not — this movie is well worth buying.

        • theGoldenSimatar

I know I might get it down the road when it hits the $8 bin, however out the door its not. I’ve always loved looking behind the scenes of movies and seeing how its made. Even as a kid, I was fascinated how everything came together to make a movie, so special features are a must have for me. I’ll be keeping my ear out for what the UK or Australian disc gets and buy that one.

“A Horror Movie So Amazing, So Frightening, So Intense, We Decided Not To Release It In Theaters Where It Should Be Seen!”-Warner Brothers

    • The Unknown Murderer

This just may be a blind purchase for me.

    • tedge1979

Awesome… but is it just me or is that guy in the white mask not actually in the movie? I have no idea who that’s supposed to be.

      • Uncle Creepy

        Wasn’t he “the vampire” guy?

        • Rob

Looks like, but in the trailers and pictures I’ve seen of the movie he was wearing a black mask.

        • tedge1979

That’s what I thought at first, but then I remembered he’s wearing a half-mask, a’la Daredevil. Seriously. I think they just slapped a random spooky photo into this ad.
