Prometheus 2 Becomes Alien: Paradise Lost; Confused Yet?

So. There’s a whole lot of madness going on in the Alien world right now. Neill Blomkamp is working on a sequel of his own while Ridley Scott preps a whopping three (potential) sequels to pseudo-prequel Prometheus, the last of which will tie directly into the Alien universe.

Are you following? Good. But things are about to get way more confusing.

In a new interview with Hey U Guys, Scott revealed the title for the first sequel to Prometheus, and much to our surprise, it’s not Prometheus 2. What is it, you ask? Suggesting that the film will be heavily influenced by the franchise it’s connected to, the sequel will now be known as Alien: Paradise Lost.

Of course, this seems to contradict Scott’s recent comments that the Prometheus/Alien connection wouldn’t truly be felt until the third sequel to the prequel franchise, and it also makes us wonder what the hell – if anything – is going on with Blomkamp’s proposed sequel. What would that be called?!

It’s official, folks. The Alien franchise has finally become as confusing as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series.
