Hobo with a Shotgun Director Jason Eisener to Helm Haunted House Flick

Ah, Hobo with a Shotgun. One of the most original, funny, and downright brilliant indie horror flicks I’ve ever seen. And yet, here we are, over four years after its release, and director Jason Eisener, who based the film on his faux Grindhouse trailer, has yet to make another feature.

That’s all about to change, however, as he’s going to helm a new movie for Fox.

Details are currently scarce, other than that it will be a completely new take on the haunted house genre, just as Cloverfield was a new take on the monster genre. It will feature prominent use of first-person viewpoints, and several scenes will take place underwater.

Anyone who’s seen Hobo with a Shotgun will know that Eisener is a master when it comes to telling his own stories so this is definitely something to look forward to.

Ryan Jones will produce for Fox alongside Eisener’s manager, Jeremy Platt.
