Xander Berkeley Joins The Walking Dead as Antagonistic Villain

And before you ask, he’s not playing Negan. That bit of evil incarnate will have to wait a while longer. TVLine reports that Xander Berkeley (“24,” “Salem”) will be shambling his way to a potentially long-term stint on “The Walking Dead.”

According to the site, Berkeley’s character, whose name is being kept under wraps, does share some of the same characteristics as Negan–namely, his narcissism, huge ego and self-preservation. He’s also said to relish the superiority that comes with being in control, but he plays it off with a car salesman-type charm. Berkeley (pictured) will debut during the second half of “The Walking Dead’s” sixth season.
