McG To Direct The Babysitter

Last year we bought you news that McG had bought the rights to the blacklisted horror script The Babysitter by Brian Duffield via his company Wonderland Sound and Vision. Now we bring you the additional update that he will direct the film.
The only thing we know about the plot is that it follows a twelve-year-old boy and his babysitter on a night filled with love and murder.
Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, and Dave Neustadter from New line will produce alongside Wonderland’s president Mary Viola and Zack Schiller and James McGough of financier Boies/Schiller Film Group.
As this is his first real foray into the horror genre, let’s just hope that it doesn’t turn out to be another big budget PG-13 crapfest as we’ve come to expect from McG.
