Even though not a single ass has been placed in a theatre yet for Saw VI and won’t be for months, that hasn’t stopped the powers that be from getting quickly to work on Saw VII.
Variety caught up with writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan to find out what would be next for them after the Dunstan-directed home invasion film The Collector gets its 1,350-screen release on July 31st from Freestyle Releasing. The duo revealed that they were about to get to work on the script for Saw VII for Lionsgate.
Ponder that if you will. VII Is two trilogies not enough? Jigsaw’s been dead since Part III! How much more can this horse be whipped before it’s declared legally lame and sent to the glue factory? Tell us what you think below, and look for Saw VII in theatres (or quite possibly direct-to-DVD) in October of 2010.
