Twilight Saga Goes Manga & SDCC 09 Screening Info!

Good news, everyone! If you haven’t yet had your fill of Twilight by way of Stephanie Meyer’s books or the fledgling movie series starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, you can add a series of Manga-style comic books to your collection. Now you can have the sparkling fervor of these beautiful creatures in full anime glory!

Entertainment Weekly tells us about the wondrous world of neutered vampires and spayed werewolves: For those of you who can’t get enough, EW can announce that Yen Press will be publishing Twilight in graphic-novel form, publication date still to be determined. Though Korean artist Young Kim is creating the art, Meyer herself is deeply immersed in the project, reviewing every panel.

Curious to see Edward and Bella, Manga style? Dig the picture below, and check out the July 17th issue of Entertainment Weekly if you’re dying to get your hands on full illustrations of the main characters. Certainly there will be more on this Twilight tie-in during the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con, where there will be a one-night only screening of the flick on July 23rd including live introductions from the cast. I can proudly say I have not so much as to even see the trailer for Twilight. I think I’m doing a good job pretending this series does not exist, I’ll be adding the manga to that as well.
