Vampire Apocalypse Coming

Just got a heads up from rookie author Derek Gunn that his debut novel, Vampire Apocalypse: A World Torn Asunder, has just sold off its film rights to veteran producer Richard Finney. Most authors have to wait for years and pull multiple sets of teeth to sell their film rights; Gunn’s managed to do it in less than 6 months (the book was out in September). Not bad at all!

Vampire Apocalypse: A World Torn Asunder (little too clunky of a title for my tastes) takes place after the vampires have won the war against the humans. The story focuses on John Harris, an ordinary man who’s sick of humanity stagnation so quickly after the vampires night-based rule is in effect, determined to do something about it and take back the planet.

The book’s been getting some pretty good reviews since its release through Black Death Books in September, so we can hope Finney will be able to make a good deal come together for the film.
