For the zombie fans among us who just cannot get enough of the shambling/sprinting dead, Permuted Press (THE go-to publisher for all cool things zombie and apocalyptic!) has a new title forthcoming.
Nom…nom…nom…nom…BRRAAAIIINNSS!! On July 15, Permuted Press is unleashing a collection of five zombie novellas by zombiemeister Eric S. Brown. Season of Rot (already sounds TOO cool) will include the title story; expanded versions of Brown’s The Queen (survivors of a zombie war take refuge on an old ship – great read) and The Wave (a surge of radioactive energy hits Earth, transforming billions into flesh-eaters; the few survivors of the initial blast try to survive as they sicken from the radiation); Rats – a novella of supernatural zombie terror (is there any other kind?); and Dead West which sounds WAAAYY too fun to me. Following the American Civil War, the US is once again divided – by the Mississippi River – as the dead rise up and began snacking on survivors in the Old West. Look out, Jesse James!
Post Mortem Comics will also be releasing Dead West as an ongoing series in October.
