Even though Darren Bousman is busy prepping his redux of Mother’s Day, that hasn’t stopped him from bringing other new and disturbing properties to life! Horror comic fans – get ready! You’re about to get your blood-soaked due!
Bousman has teamed with Radical Publishing to bring his latest creation to life — Abattoir!
Set for a 2010 debut, Abattoir chronicles real estate agent Richard Ashwalt, assigned the impossible task of cleaning up after a brutal massacre, and takes place at a mansion. As he cleans the blood-soaked grounds, a twisted old man journeys to the house with a sinister and terrifying purpose, and Richard is drawn into a web of shadows, murders, and massacres that will shatter him to his very core … and make him run for his life.
Even better? Fans in attendance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con should head on over to Radical Publishing at Booth #3735 to meet Darren on Saturday, July 25th from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. to get their hands on Radical’s Exclusive Preview Book which features Bousman’s chilling, supernatural upcoming release, and if you’re good maybe get some Repo or Saw stuff signed!
Of course once this news came to our attention, we gave Darren a call, and he had this to say regarding the project — “I am so stoked to be working in this medium. ABATTOIR stems from an original script idea my writing partner, Michael Peterson, and I came up with, but the story was so big, the mythology so dense, I started tinkering with taking it into the graphic novel world to tell the parts I couldn’t tell in the script… I am so stoked to be working on this with all the peeps from Radical!”
