Looking for some reading material to get you in the Halloween spirit?  Then look no further than Roma Gray’s Gray Shadows Under a Harvest Moon, comprised of six new tales of terror that revolve around the popular holiday and are also each part of an upcoming novel.

It’s an interesting, interactive concept so read on for the details of what Gray has planned for her readers.

From the Press Release:
Get ready for grown-up goosebumps and spooky, creepy fun in the new Halloween horror book Gray Shadows Under a Harvest Moon: Six Trick-or-Treat Thrillers by Roma Gray. Tired of the two extremes—mild, simple juvenile stories on one side or horrific, serial killers and sadistic monsters on the other—Gray has penned six stories that are the perfect blend of hair-raising scary without feeling traumatized.

Written in a unique format, Gray Shadows is an anthology of six complete Halloween-style short stories, but they are also each part of an upcoming novel. Gray Shadows additionally includes interviews with the characters wherein they discuss their upcoming novels.

Always innovative, Gray let her readers determine the order to release each novel through a poll held on her website. Readers chose The Hunted Tribe: Declaration of War, part one of the two-part novel series based on the short story “Summer Vacation,” which is scheduled to be released in 2016 by J. Ellington Aston Press.

Just like Halloween night, you’ll never know who will come knocking on your door when you turn the pages of Gray Shadows! The stories include spooky, action-adventure, horror, and science fiction:

  • “Feast on Fat Tuesday”: During Mardi Gras a vampire realized he has become the prey.
  • “And Then Everything Changed”: The discovery of Atlantis changes the world in a way no one could have ever anticipated… or wanted.
  • “Summer Vacation”: A teenager discovers that not only is black magic real, it’s also very unpredictable.
  • “The Invisible Carrier”: A deadly plaque is spreading through the Pacific Northeast, but no one can figure out how.
  • “Unnatural Disasters”: Governments are isolating disaster sites from the rest of the world. What are they trying to hide?
  • “Will the Real Monster Please Stand Up?”:  It’s turning into a very strange night when archaeologist Alistair Black encounters a rampaging mummy, two insane cats, and a secret government agency.

“The purpose of Gray Shadows is simple,” says Gray. “I want to give you the same thrill, the same frightening rush, that I experienced at Halloween as a child.”
