Rooney Mara Talks Nightmare on Elm Street Sequel

Rooney Mara Talks Nightmare on Elm Street SequelThough the Nightmare on Elm Street remake is still filming in Chi-town (Dread Central is on-set as I write this so expect some exclusive goodies soon), that hasn’t stopped the powers-that-be from thinking sequel down the line.

The new Nancy, Rooney Mara, revealed to Bloody Disgusting the following truly tasty tidbit of information — turns out that if the remake does well (can you imagine it not? Freddy is as big as Santa Claus!) she has signed on to continue the role of Nancy Thompson for another two films.

Let’s just hope for another cool-ass stop-motion skeleton fight to end the third film! Look for much, much more soon!

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

  • Caterpillar

While I’m sure the remake will be pretty close to the story of Craven’s original, I hope they take the series into some different directions in the sequels.

  • Spaceshark

I cannot wait to see a brand new naked spanking death in HD. Renny Harlin should direct,

  • Didn’t See It Coming

I truly think it’s impossible for me to get excited about this movie because of the other Platinum Dunes movies I’ve seen.

  • MagusMaleficus

So no hope for a “they’re all dead” ending, eh?

  • nonserviam03

I wonder if we’ll see another Freddy dick-snake try to eat someone like in Part 3.

Aside from the original, part 3 is my favorite NOES. I hope this remake/reboot/relaunch/ is as good, if not better than it!

Part 3 is my second favorite as well.
