Well, I’m officially no longer laughing.
You might remember Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (aka Cassandra Peterson), announcing a few months back that she was working on a brand-new reality show in which girls across the country could try out to be … well, her. The winners would make public appearances as the buxom beauty, among other honors.
Well, she walked the walk and talked the talk and, most importantly, sold the show. To Fox Reality Network, no less; not exactly a deal to spit at if you ask me. Production on it is getting under way this summer, which means the auditions just to get on the show should be starting up soon.
That just makes me happy. Good to see a horror icon making her way back into the spotlight where she deserves to be. And seriously, who doesn’t want to watch a show about a bunch of hot girls pretending to be Goth queens? They’ve got my eyeballs.
