See the Dead … Right Now!

Here at Dread Central we love us some zombies, especially of the shambling super-rotted variety! There’s just something about those flesh-eaters we just can’t get enough of! As a result, we’re always on the look-out for the goods and we’re always happy to help out an indie filmmaker by showcasing their work. Such is the case with Robert W. Filion’s undead opus — See the Dead.

I totally agree with the previous two posts. I definately would not be drinking the water! It wasn’t too bad for what it was. However, I noticed that all the blood splatter was in safe to clean spaces. The headshot in the bathroom conveniently placed in the shower, on the window, outside, etc. It was always in easy to clean spaces since the house was probably the directors. I also noticed the camera cut away for the window breaking scene. Who wants to replace that expensive vinyl window! I was a bit bored though because it didn’t do anything different from any other zombie movie I have seen. The zombies did look pretty good. Better that most low budget zombie flicks. Not a bad effort.

With exception of the blood and one extremely bad edit after she shoots her husband, I liked it. At first I thought she was dumb as fuck, but about half way I figured out where it was going and I thought it worked. I am REALLY impressed with the FX, the cinematography, and the overall scope of it. Good stuff. Amazing to because those 11 minutes or so are better than the whole of Deadlands, which is easily one of the worst zombie films I’ve ever seen.

First off. This was good alot better than half the shit that gets put out on dvd. But I gotta say two things

    1. I would not be drinking the city water if there was zombies.

    2. Blood looked like water

But in all no complaints I liked the FX especially for an indie. Well done.
