Another Lost Movie

Man, I really hate it when there are two genre flicks out there with the exact same title. It’s even worse when both films are about completely different subject matters, as is the case with Chris Siverston’s The Lost and a new indie film directed by The Feral Generation producer Neil Jones called The Lost.
While Siverston’s film is based on the Jack Ketchum novel of the same name, Jones’ The Lost is set during WWII and finds two soldiers holding up against their seemingly unstoppable enemy. Slowly they run out of food and water and turn on one another, but one struggles to hold on to sanity in order to make an eventual escape.
The film is getting some attention through its festival run, most likely it will be remembered as one of the last films to feature horror legend Peter Cushing, whose voice appears as “narrator” (actually a reading he did of an anti-war poem) and because it was shot in a mere two days with almost zero budget. We’ll wait to have a screener of it before we make any final judgments, but I have to admit I’m curious…
The Lost should be making its way to DVD soon so keep your eyes open!
