If you have kids that are just dipping their toes into the horror genre (or if you’re a big kid yourself), you might be interested in this bit of news… starting tomorrow, August 15th, Seasons 1 and 2 of the Daytime Emmy Award-winning hit television series “Spooksville” begin streaming exclusively on Netflix.

From the Press Release:
“Spooksville” returns to haunt kids and parents alike, this time exclusively on Netflix starting this Saturday, August 15th. “Spooksville” is a live-action adventure television series starring Keean Johnson (“The Fosters”) as Adam Freeman, Katie Douglas (“Defiance”) as Sally Wilcox, Nick Purcha (“iZombie”) as Watch Waverly, and Morgan Taylor Campbell (“The Killing”) as Ann Templeton.

Based on the book series by acclaimed author Christopher Pike, “Spooksville” follows the new kid in town who discovers that he holds the key to a battle between good and evil that has been taking place for centuries in a bizarre small town that plays host to a wide array of supernatural and unexplained occurrences.

Top review from Common Sense Media mentioned, “‘Spooksville’ is further evidence that popular book series can successfully navigate the leap to TV. Much like the well-known TV adaptation of the Goosebumps collection, “Spooksville” turns author Christopher Pike’s creations into enticing visual entertainment, aided in no small part by quality special effects that put real emphasis on the stories’ paranormal creations.”

“Spooksville” is a Daytime Emmy Award-winning series and recipient of the Parents’ Choice Approved Seal. “Spooksville” is produced by Springville Productions, Front Street Pictures (“R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour”), and Jane Startz Productions (“The School for Good and Evil”).
