Datura Raising Funds on Kickstarter

The crime suspense thriller Datura is currently raising funds on Kickstarter. It follows a wanted criminal who is escorting a female passenger in a drive across the desert, the reasons for which may bring about their destruction.
The filmmakers describe it as “a journey into the darkness of the human mind” so guess we’ll be getting some psychological thrills along the way.
The title refers to the flower of the same name, which is both beautiful and also poisonous, posing the question: “How can something of great beauty be so deadly?” It’s psychological all right.
Director Jason Kartalian previously helmed Seahorses, which received overwhelming acclaim, having won awards and been shown at festivals, so he knows his shit. Lead actress Justine Wachsberger has previously starred in a number of big films like Twilight: New Moon, Divergent and RED and is shaping up to be a big star in her own right.
It appears that, if there was ever a crowdfunding campaign to contribute to, this is it.
