There May Be a Surrogate in Halle Berry’s Future

Just a few days ago we learned that Paul Verhoeven is on board to help develop and subsequently direct The Surrogate, a story about a childless couple who hire a surrogate that turns out to be insane.
The 2004 novel of the same name was written by Kathryn Mackel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Halle Berry is in talks to play the wife who wants to have the child. It’s all subject, of course, to final negotiations so keep it here for more as it comes.
