Although it’s still hot enough to fry a human brain on the sidewalk, those lovely autumn months really aren’t that far away. And as every horror-obsessed individual knows, October is one of the best times of the year, especially if you absolutely love haunted houses and mazes.

Folks living in or around Southern California are no doubt well-versed in the spooky traditions of Knott’s Scary Farm, which is known as the “largest, most haunted experience” in the region. This year will bring back some of the attraction’s extremely popular mazes, in addition to providing some all-new scares for those who like to keep things fresh and exciting.

Beginning September 24, you and your friends can experience “11 mazes, three Scare Zones, two live action packed shows, five Skeleton Key Rooms, and a thousand monsters” at Knott’s Scary Farm. In addition to bringing back Special Ops: Infected – Patient Zero, Tooth Fairy, and Gunslinger’s Grave: A Blood Moon Rises, the organizers have lined up some very cool attractions to give returning guests a good fright. Sounds like they’re doing a bang-up job.

The official press release has all the nifty details about the new additions.

Escape the icy grasp of the chilling Snow Queen in The Dead of Winter. Backed by a ravenous beastly army of resurrected Viking warriors, she is hellbent on avenging her beloved family’s murder and preys upon any unsuspecting visitors who foolishly enter the borders of her icy domain.
