Imagination Embraces the Living and the Dead

The Living and the Dead reviewThis morning we received world that those imaginative folks at Imagination Worldwide have scooped up worldwide (imagine that!) distro for Simon Rumley’s The Living and the Dead.

Though there are no solid plans for it yet, the next showing of the film will take place at the 2007 European Film Market in Berlin, which runs February 8th-18th. Imagination is becoming more and more specialized with its acquisitions, having sale rights for Blood Trails (coming soon from Lionsgate), The Hamiltons, which played as part of the After Dark HorrorFest, and the killer raven movie Kaw, among others.

The Living and the Dead is the tale of ex-Lord Donald Brocklebank, who is forced sell the sprawling mansion he, his wife, and his schizophrenic son reside in, in order to make ends meet. The son, James, determined to prove to his father that he’s a capable adult, unfortunately sets in motion a chain of events that will deteriorate his mental state and eradicate his ability to tell fantasy from reality. Terror ensues.

Be sure to read our review of The Living and the Dead from this summer’s Fantasia Film Festival, and keep your eyeballs here for more on Imagination’s plans for the stylish film.
