Something Wicked Coming from Merchant Films

It seems to me that suspense is in danger of becoming something of a lost art in modern American horror. Sure there have been exceptions, but too many recent films fail to realize their true potential when it comes to lingering and unrelenting tension.
Today Merchant Films updated its website with a very promising synopsis for what has the potential to be an intense experience.
Something Wicked is a current day action thriller set in a mid-size American community (Eugene, Oregon) in the Pacific Northwest. Christine and her boyfriend James have just graduated from Highland High School and are looking forward to enjoying their future together. Everything appears to be going well until Christine and James realize that she is being stalked by a psychologically tormented and obsessed young man who, in the end, will stop at nothing to be with her.
Something Wicked is currently rolling on location in Western Oregon under the direction of Darin Scott (Dark Room) and stars Shantel VanSanten (pictured), John Robinson, and Brittany Murphy.
