Media Blaster’s Tokyo Shock sub-label can always be counted on to provide us with those off the beaten path DVD gems you simply can’t find elsewhere. And come this August, 2009, they’ll be releasing Yohei Fukuda‘s Chanbara Beauty: The Movie (aka Onechanbara: Zombie Bikini Squad).

Based on a hack-n-slash video game series, the story revolves around a scantily-clad girl named Aya (Eri Otoguro), her little sister Saki (Chise Nakamura), and a mysterious gun-toting leather chick named Reiko (Manami Hashimoto) who must protect their dystopic metropolis from a marauding zombie attack. In addition to English subtitles, the disc will include a commentary by co-writer/director Fukuda.
