Make Your Own Grindhouse Trailer!

Think you’re ready to be judged by Robert Rodriguez on the merits of making a grindhouse trailer? No, not a trailer for the movie, a trailer for a faux grindhouse-esque film similar to the ones Rob Zombie and Edgar Wright have done for the April release of Grindhouse.
If you’ve got the balls and the time, I suggest you move your ass. The South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, TX has just put out a call to wanna-be filmmakers to submit their best grindhouse trailer to them no later than February 12th. All submissions will be watched by Robert Rodriguez, who will then pick his favorites and show them as part of a presentation on Sunday, March 11th called “Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse 101”. He’ll also be showing off behind-the-scenes clips and stories from the making of the double feature, which is in theaters April 6th, 2007.
