Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose Uncover The X-Files

Just a few hours after we learned that Kumail Nanjiani (“The Meltdown”) and Rhys Darby (What We Do in the Shadows) have landed guest roles on Fox’s upcoming revival of “The X-Files,” we’ve just gotten word that two more actors have signed on for active duty. Read on!

Per Deadline, both Robbie Amell (“The Flash”) and Lauren Ambrose (“Six Feet Under,” “Dig”) will guest on one episode each of the resurrected series. Amell will play the smart and smooth Agent Miller, with Ambrose as the sharp and confident Agent Einstein.

The X-Files

“The X-Files” debuts on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at 10:00PM immediately after the network’s broadcast of the NFL championship game and begins a five-week run Mondays at 8:00PM.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are back as Mulder and Scully, as are Mitch Pileggi as FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner and William B. Davis as the iconic Cigarette-Smoking Man.  Joel McHale joins the fray along with Annet Mahendru.

Veteran writers James Wong and Glen Morgan also return with Morgan joining creator Chris Carter as an executive producer. Shooting continues at North Shore Studios in N. Vancouver through August 14th.
