A tiny tidbit of news came out today regarding director Tom Holland’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Ten O’Clock People, which we’ve been following for some time now.

Per Lilja’s Library, who spoke with Holland yesterday, the film version is now titled Cessation. We assume This Is the End star Jay Baruchel is still playing the lead role in the adaptation, which he is also executive producing.

The film revolves around a smoker who returns to his old habit with a cessation drug still in his system, triggering a side effect that reveals a frightening reality in which many people in authority are monsters.

Industry vet Don Carmody is producing, and along with Baruchel, the exec producers are Pascal Borno, Scott Karol, E.J. Meyers, and Nathaniel Kramer. Holland (pictured below) co-wrote the script with Meyers.
