Hitcher is Untrustworthy

I’ve not heard much good or bad about the upcoming remake of The Hitcher, due out next week from Rogue Pictures, which is definitely a good thing. Not that I think they really screwed it up too much (well, making the travelers a couple rather than a lone guy does subtract some elements of tension, I think), I just hope they at least attempted to improve on the original. Not that it needs it.
I have to admit; Sean Bean is a better choice for the title role than I expected, at least from what I’ve seen in trailers. IGN has a brand-new clip from the film up that gives a good idea of how he handled his take on John Rider; cold and to the point, much like Rutger Hauer’s original. I just hope the rest of the cast is at the same level.
