Every now and again a cool rumor will end up getting confirmed and there’s cause for a little rejoicing. The latest tidbit for the old truth file? Elizabeth Shue will be starring in Aja’s Piranha 3D! Those lucky, lucky fish!
Movie Hole scored the official word that the forty-five-year-old (and still smokin’ hot) actress will be playing “Sheriff Julie Forester, a take-charge authority figure in the community of Lake Victoria,” and the mother of one of the film’s other lead characters.
Piranha 3D should begin shooting in Arizona soon and is scheduled to be released theatrically by Dimension Films on March 19, 2010.
