Bombshell from H2 Set – How Long Will Myers Be Maskless?

Bombshell from H2 Set - How Long Will Myers Be Maskless?Hey Halloween fans! You know that mask you love so very much? Well, you may not be seeing as much of it as you’d like to in Rob Zombie’s upcoming “>Halloween 2.

Nomad just got in touch with what some would say is pretty startling news from the set of Halloween 2 — effects genius Wayne Toth, producer Andy Gould, and even Malek Akkad himself have all confirmed that Michael Myers will spend “a great portion” of the sequel unmasked.

What that means at this point is anyone’s guess. Estimates being thrown around indicate that it may be as much as seventy percent of the film. Before you get your panties in too much of a bunch, we ask that you remember this — technically speaking Myers spent “a great portion” of the remake maskless as well.

Honestly? This intrigues the hell out of me. I’m sure when Myers dons the Shatner-esque number we all love so very much the shit will adequately hit the fan, but the stuff leading up to the moment could prove to be very interesting.

Guess we’ll find out when the movie hits theatres on August 28th. Speaking of which, when asked about the film’s release going up against Final Destination 4, producer Andy Gould said that he wasn’t worried and then assured the visiting press that it’s likely that someone will have to move their release date — and it’s not going to be them.

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

    Aaah man…

I was intrigued…but now I’m liking it even less.
What does this flick has to do with Halloween again?

That….that sounds too BAD to be true, like someone MUST be feeding you guys “NEWZ” just to jerk your chains. Like when the wrestling dirt sheets all put out their rumors of upcoming storylines to stir internet wrestling fans into a frenzy: “OMG! John Cena to beat Edge, Jericho, Punk, and HBK at the same time in the same match, then lose to HHH!”

Non-wrestling fans won’t have a clue what I just said, but wrestling fans will get the analogy. 70% of the movie? I might have bought it as legit had the guy said a lower number, like 40%…but that’s just way too much of the film.

At least, I hope this is just “newz”.

I’m intrigued enough to give it a try, but it will not be a Halloween film at all. I’m not going to go in expecting a Halloween film in the slightest–that part has obviously been completely destroyed. It’s so obvious to me that Rob Zombie hates everything about what made the original Halloween film work so well–tell me again, why did the Weinsteins hire this guy?

Every shit nugget of info that is released makes me want to see the movie even less. No theme music, no mask, no me. Without question, August 28th, I’ll be watching Final Destination 4.

Save me a seat, Kidd. I know this is a horror site (and a damn good one at that) and some out there might be interested in these details, but every time I read a news story on this it’s like someone’s stabbing me in the heart. With a long, dull knife. Shoved in my anus. While watching RZ’s Halloween. On a hot summer day. With no air conditioning. In Hoboken, New Jersey.
In other words, painful and irritating.

Awesome I’m hoping Rob has a sense of humor and has Micheal donning an Uncle Creepy mask. Oh and maybe he can let out a trademark sigh now and then before or after a kill.

Maskless, huh? Meh… MM just isn’t as scary without the emotionless face of the Shatner mask.
