Stephen King’s It Lives On with Online Petition, Fan-Made Trailer

A lot of people were seriously bummed when director Cary Fukunaga’s adaptation of Stephen King’s It was unceremoniously canceled by folks at Warner Bros. Although I adore the 1990 miniseries, I’d love see what Fukunaga would do with the material. Unless something magical happens across the hills of Hollywood in the near future, I doubt that’s going to happen.

To help convince stuffy studio executives that there’s still a lot of people out there who would love to see this adaptation happen, dedicated fans put together a petition through Change.org. As of this writing, the petition has only 316 signatures, so if you want New Line and WB to reconsider their decision to shelve this project, then you’d better consider signing it.

Around the same time the petition surfaced, Hollywood Redux released a pretty nifty fan-made It trailer. All of this proves that Stephen King’s insanely creepy story is very much alive in the minds of fans across the world. The question remains: Will Warner Bros. and New Line pay attention?
