Call for Short Films for TV Pilot

Outpost Worldwide Issues Call for Short FilmsIndie director/producer Patrick Rea recently sent over some info on a project he’s working on in conjunction with Outpost Worldwide. They are issuing a “call for films” for a national TV program pilot featuring works from America’s best independent filmmakers and aspiring film students of horror and sci-fi shorts.

Here’s the skinny: Film shorts selected for pilot production have a high likelihood of national airing in the final television series. Shorts selected for the series will receive financial compensation and recognition in the credits. No compensation for submissions or for use in the pilot. This is a non-exclusive solicitation for material, and filmmakers retain the copyright to their films. Great storytelling, creativity, and production value will be the driving elements for inclusion in the national pilot.

We prefer films less than 30 minutes in length. Shooting and mastering format does not matter as long as the piece represents high quality production values suitable for broadcast on television.

At the present time there’s no firm deadline for submissions, but I’d suggest sooner is better than later. Send DVDs of your work to:

Outpost Worldwide, Inc.
Attn: Horror Shorts Submissions
7833 Barton Street
Lenexa, KS 66214

Good luck!
