Night of the Demons in Theatres October

Night of the Demons in Theatres October 9th, 2009If there’s one remake I’m actually looking forward to, it’s Adam Gierasch’s take on the 1988 classic Night of the Demons. The original flick totally rocked, and Adam is just disturbed enough to really make this one work!

Seven Arts Distribution announced today that the movie has been slated for an October 9th, 2009 release. The remake, written by Gierasch and Jace Anderson, sports itself quite the genre pedigree as evidenced by its cast of Diora Baird, Shannon Elizabeth, Monica Keena, Bobbi Sue Luther, Jonathan Beach, Michael Copon, Tiffany Shepis, and Edward Furlong.

So what’s it about? “Angela Feld is throwing the Halloween party to end all Halloween parties at the infamous Broussard Mansion in New Orleans, where dark events transpired almost a century ago. But when the packed party gets busted by the police, Angela and her friends Maddie, Lily, Suzanne, Colin, Dex and Jason are the only ones left behind. Soon Colin and Angela make a grisly discovery in the basement and inexplicable events start to take place. With the mansion gates mysteriously locked, the seven find themselves trapped for the night…and soon they’re fighting ancient demons for their very souls.

Keep it here for more as it comes!

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

I’d like to see this. Hopefully it’ll be cheesey fun like the original.

I was willing to bet that this would go DTV, and I’m glad to see it will be released in theatres. I mean, Edward Furlong and Tiffany Shepis just scream Straight to DVD.

This should be a cheesy good time.

Monica Keena, Shannon Elisabeth, Diora Baird and Tiffany Shepis? Awesome.

    I remain cautiously optimistic.

    No Monica Keena lipstick scene?
