While in attendance at the premiere of Joe Dante’s Burying the Ex, we caught up with the writer and star of The Houses October Built (review), Zack Andrews, to get the scoop on what’s going on with the film post-release. Could a sequel be on its way? Read on for details.

Dread Central: What’s going on with the sequel to The Houses October Built?

Zack Andrews: Well, we’re trying to get that together. It’s really been nice to see; the word on the street is people are really asking for it and that makes us of course excited. It’s a world that we definitely feel that there is more to explore.

Dread Central: What will be the content of this sequel?

Zack: I think the big mystery was with the ending; people were asking what happened and you didn’t really see us die so it left a little bit of an open ending. We need to think for a reason to get back in and keep the search alive.

Dread Central: So, maybe you’ll come back as a zombie? Like this movie?

Zack: That’d be fun to be on the other side.
