Based on Capcom’s mega-hit video game series Dead Rising, film adaptation Dead Rising: Watchtower will be brandishing power tools against a horde of the undead on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK come July 27, courtesy of Animatsu.
Of special note is the rather awesome-looking Limited Edition Blu-ray Steelbook, which is exclusive to retailer Zavvi and can be pre-ordered here.
Dead Rising: Watchtower stars Jesse Metcalfe, Meghan Ory, Virginia Madsen, Dennis Haysbert, and Rob Riggle and is directed by Leprechaun: Origins helmer Zach Lipovsky.
Synopsis:
Dead Rising: Watchtower takes place during a large-scale zombie outbreak. When a mandatory government vaccine (Zombrex) fails to stop an infection from spreading across the city, four unlikely survivors must evade the zombie horde whilst at the same time discover the root of the epidemic – all signs point to a government conspiracy! Their perilous, action-packed journey to escape and uncover the truth forces them to question what they’re willing to do to survive… and ultimately their own sense of humanity.
