Remember back when everyone complained that San Diego Comic-Con was being overtaken by Hollywood studios to promote their new films?  Well, now the movies are being overshadowed by television, and no one seems to be too upset about it.  Not when those TV shows include the likes of horror favorites “American Horror Story,” “Salem,” “Sleepy Hollow,” and newcomers “Scream Queens” and Damien.”

First out of the gate with an announcement of what they’ll be bringing to the 2015 SDCC, Twentieth Century Fox Television has revealed a lineup that includes all of the above. Read on for the early details (exact dates and times to come)!

Attendees will be treated to the world premiere screening of “Scream Queens” on Saturday, July 11th, as well as a joint panel between “Scream Queens” and “American Horror Story: Freak Show/Hotel” (more info below).

Along with panels and screenings, Fox will have a two-story booth on the convention center floor for star-studded autograph signings and activities including distribution of exclusive 2015 Fox Fanfare poster tubes, collectible mini-posters, premium giveaways, DVD sales, and more.

“American Horror Story” / “Scream Queens” Panel
Get ready to scream! It’s a Comic-Con horror fest when members of the all-star cast of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan’s Fox comedy  “Scream Queens” (Jamie Lee Curtis—the original “scream queen,” Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Skyler Samuels, and Keke Palmer) come face to face with the stars of Murphy and Falchuk’s FX dramas “American Horror Story: Freak Show” and the upcoming “American Horror Story: Hotel” (Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Matt Bomer). This lively gathering of headliners promises laughs, scares, and secrets from the sets.

“Damien” Preview/Panel
From executive producer Glen Mazzara (“The Walking Dead,” “The Shield”), “Damien” follows the adult life of Damien Thorn, the mysterious child from the 1976 motion picture who has grown up seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny — that he is the Antichrist. Starring Bradley James (“Merlin”), Barbara Hershey, Megalyn Echikunwoke, and Omid Abtahi. Get an exclusive look at the exciting first season of A&E’s drama series “Damien” followed by a Q&A with cast and producers – plus a very special guest appearance!

It’s only early on in negotiations but it appears that Jessica Chastain is going to portray adult Beverly in It: Chapter 2, according to Variety. A script written by Gary Dauberman, who wrote the first film, is being finalized and Andy Muschietti is expected to return for the sequel. Chastain has long been a favored pick for the role, which was played by Sophia Lillis in IT, even making our own personal wish list.

Also expected to return to IT: Chapter 2 is Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise. The sequel has a release date of September 6, 2019, so don’t hold your breath as we’ve got a ways to go.

Death HouseWell, I know what I’m doing on 4/20.

Back in December, we let you guys know that B. Harrison Smith’s Death House will host public red carpet events in both Los Angeles (Thursday, Feb. 22) and New York City (Friday, Feb. 23), before landing on Blu-ray/DVD and Cable TV June 5th.

Today we have new release info today via the film’s official Facebook page, where we’ve learned Death House will not only be hitting 30 additional markets March 2nd, but will also be released on VOD, Redbox, Netflix, and foreign markets on April 20th.

While this is a film that I plan to see on the big screen, the fact that it hits Netflix on 4/20 is a pretty damn good idea.

How excited are you to finally see Death House? Let us know below!

Dubbed the “Expendables of Horror,” the film boasts an ensemble of legendary genre names such as Dee Wallace, Barbara Crampton, Kane Hodder, Tony Todd, Bill Moseley, Michael Berryman, Debbie Rochon, Sid Haig, Bill Oberst, Jr., and a number of other official surprises.

Produced by Entertainment Factory’s Rick Finkelstein and Steven Chase, Death House is directed by B. Harrison Smith (Camp Dread, Zombie Killers: Elephant’s Graveyard, 6 Degrees of Hell, The Fields). Smith wrote the screenplay based on an original story by Texas Chain Saw Massacre legend, the late Gunnar Hansen.

Death House hits VOD, Redbox, Netflix, and foreign markets on April 20th, before landing on Blu-ray/DVD and Cable TV June 5th.

Synopsis:
Two federal agents fight their way through nine levels of Hell inside a secret prison known as the Death House. A facility-wide prison break turns their flight into a tour of horrors as they push toward the ultimate evil housed in the lowest depths of the earth.
