No relation to “Machete Phil” or “Machete Sam” from Broken Lizard’s Club Dread, Machete Joe is a new Hollywood-themed horror flick in which a former Ghostbuster might find himself meeting a fate worse than crossing the streams.
Written by, produced by, and co-starring Gordon Greene under the direction of newcomer Sasha Krane, the currently in post-production Machete Joe sees a group of out-of-work actors deciding to take their careers into their own hands by shooting a low-budget horror film about an urban myth. With only 15 days to shoot their still unfinished script, their shoot at a remote castle in the desert turns into a real-life horror movie. As their egos begin to surface so do the dead bodies.
In addition to Greene, the film stars Erica Gimpel, Paul Campbell, and Jason Bonduris. Look for everyone’s favorite black Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson as the local sheriff.
Not many details about this one out there right now outside of the film’s Facebook page. More info when it becomes available.
