McDowell Back for Halloween 2

Despite earlier rumors of a disconnect, it seems that Malcolm McDowell will indeed be back as Dr. Sam Loomis in Rob Zombie’s “>Halloween 2.
Says Zombie on his MySpace page, “Rumors have it that Malcolm will not be returning as Dr. Loomis. Well, as usual the rumors are wrong. Malcolm McDowell will be back and ready to deal with big Mike.”
I have to say, seeing the Friday the 13th remake has given me a bit more respect for Zombie’s reboot. At the very least he was trying to make a good movie for the fans, so now that all the Myers remake stuff has been put to bed, I’m kind of optimistic about this one.
Look for Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 in theatres on August 28, 2009.
