Ghost House Pictures keeps carving its way through the genre with a vengeance, as a couple of remake tidbits have hit the wire! What’s next for the house that Raimi and Tapert built?
Variety reports tonight that the next film on the Ghost House slate will be a remake of a 1987 Spanish horror film, Bigas Luna’s Anguish. For those unfamiliar with the flick, it told the tale of two girls trapped in a movie theater with a killer whose murders mirror the killing taking place on the big screen. Filming from a screenplay by Jake Wade Wall (When a Stranger Calls), Ghost House has hired Room 205 director Martin Barnewitz to helm this latest redux.
Speaking of which … the remake of Room 205 (also being directed by Barnewitz) has found itself a new title — The Dorm. Keep it locked for more on both these flicks as it develops.
