Check that out, kids. Nothing better than a badass hero zombie ready to kick some undead ass, is there?
A press release was just sent out announcing the collaboration between Devil’s Due Publishing and Xombie, Inc. to create a limited comic series based on the insanely popular online Flash toon, Xombie (if you’re unfamiliar with it, that can change with a click of the mouse). With over 13 million downloads, Jamie Farr’s groundbreaking animated adventures of variant zombie Dirge is one of the biggest online phenomenons in our genre, and it’s all thanks to ongoing word of mouth. Gotta love it!
Now Devil’s Due is gearing up for a series of comics that will follow Dirge, the human child Zoe and the rest of the twisted cast of characters across a dead-choked world of ruin. Not much was revealed about when the story will take place, but the press release did say it was “re-imagined for the world of comics” so I’m sure we can expect even bigger adventures for this twisted troupe.
