NBC has picked up two drama pilots from its sister studio, Peter Traugott’s new Universal TV production company, and while they both sound more "thriller" than horror, one seems to have a "Twin Peaks" vibe and the other sounds like yet another spin on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde so we figured we'd mention them and then see how Dread-worthy they turn out to be.

When you think of some of the most beloved and enduring characters in the history of the horror genre, Dracula has to be somewhere near the top. Certain entities are just synonymous with everything that we love as horror fans, and the original fanged fiend definitely fits the bill. The good news? We may be seeing a lot more of him.

The powers-that-be at NBC have held "Grimm" off the air for a bit longer than expected following the holidays, but finally the show will be back on Friday, January 13th, with a new episode entitled "Game Ogre". NBC's new series "Grimm" is on holiday hiatus until Friday, January 6th, but in the meantime we have a brief synopsis of upcoming Episode 1.09, "Of Mouse and Man". While we've enjoyed several of the series' episodes so far, they really need to tighten things up a bit as we're finding the show to be quite uneven thus far.

After a great start, the NBC series "Grimm" hit a little bump in the road with its fifth episode, but this past Friday night's installment saw the show return to form (thanks largely to the focus on Monroe's character). Here's hoping the upcoming Episode 1.07, "Let Your Hair Down", in which the tale of Rapunzel gets a "Grimm" spin, continues the trend.

NBC shook things up a bit this week by scheduling an extra installment of "Grimm" last night, but sadly, it was one of the weakest eps we've seen thus far. Hopefully the show will get back on track tonight with "The Three Bad Wolves".
