Bottom line? My Name is Bruce was a steaming turd. Even The Chin himself knows it. Recently New York Magazine's Vulture caught up with Bruce Campbell to talk about lots of things, including the status of a possible sequel.
It's been nearly nine months since last we spoke about the Chin's follow-up to My Name is Bruce, but finally the man himself has done a little bit of blathering and of course our ever-so-vigilant ears are here to pick up the chatter for you!
The Bruce Campbell flick My Name is Bruce should have easily been a home run with fans, but many (myself included) felt as if we were left a bit cold in the end. So maybe the sequel can warm us back up a bit?

One thing I think we can all agree on the collectible world is short of is Bruce Campbell figures that come with whiskey, don’t you think? Enter Dark Horse, who have taken up the mantle and run with it, producing the first Bruce figure from My Name is Bruce, which hits DVD on February 10th.
Though the word on the street is that, essentially, My Name is Bruce is not the be-all, end-all Bruce Campbell film we had been hoping for, that doesn’t mean it won’t go well with a six pack and a joint, does it? It does not, but you’ll be able to test that theory come February 10th when Image Entertainment releases the flick in both standard and Blu-ray formats.

If you’ve been waiting as long as I have for word on My Name is Bruce, breathe yourself a sigh of relief; the wait is over. Finally Dark Horse Entertainment is getting the film ready to make its way to theaters this October, and a sequel is being worked on as you read this!
As it stands, My Name is Bruce is still due out sometime this year. Bruce Campbell himself has said it numerous times, and I have no reason not to believe what the Great Chin decrees.
