Though the lead character is called Mr. Hush, we can’t keep our mouths shut because Dread Central just landed an exclusive clip and pics from Mr. Hush Legacy, filmmaker David Lee Madison’s new prequel short to his 2010 indie fear flick. Madison’s Legacy takes us back to the Civil War, where a Confederate soldier (writer/director Madison) encounters the mysterious slasher Mr. Hush (the returning Edward X. Young) during a battlefield respite.
The new short came together to promote and accompany the original Mr. Hush, which makes its worldwide streaming and download debut exclusively on Vimeo.com this Thursday. In addition to the feature film and Legacy, customers can also access such bonus features as an introduction by Madison and Mr. Hush cameo star Brian O’Halloran (Clerks movies) and a Mr. Hush music video.
Mr. Hush toplines Brad Loree (Michael Myers in Halloween: Resurrection), Stephen Geoffreys (Fright Night) and the late Steve Dash (Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th, Part 2).
