In anticipation of the upcoming release of Hellhounds on DVD (February 16th), we thought it might be interesting to talk with child actor-turned-director Rick Schroder. With Hellhounds, Schroder is a far cry from his days on the set of “Silver Spoons” or even “NYPD Blue.”
Ah, Dark Sky Films. How quickly you've endeared yourself to the black hearts of genre fans everywhere! The studio who proudly wears its love for blood on its sleeve has just checked in with an update on its latest film, Hypothermia! From the Press Release:
Five new character-based posters have surfaced for Louis Leterrier's version of the creature-laden classic Clash of the Titans showing off the Kraken, the Stygian Witches, Liam Neeson as Zeus, and Ralph Fiennes as Hades as well as giving us a peek at the winged horse Pegasus leading a charge into battle.
A new international trailer for Louis Leterrier's Clash of the Titans debuted today featuring more of the good stuff we're all looking forward to! Thank the gods!
Is it just my imagination or have we been reporting on the Devon Sawa monster movie Creature of Darkness for two years now? Sure feels like it has taken its sweet time. At long last, the monster movie funded by a Powerball lottery winner (true story!) will finally begin stalking DVD shelves this April.
What's better than one Clash of the Titans movie? How about three? That's the idea being tossed around over at Warner Bros. and we gotta say, we kind of like the idea. More monsters. More demons. More adventure. We're sold on the idea, but let's just see how the first one is first, shall we?
If there's one superhero we can really get behind here at Dread Central, it is The Hulk. Why? Because he's a giant pissed off green monster! What can we say? We relate! We also have your chance to win a copy of the green guy's latest animated movie on Blu-ray!
Duck Season. Wabbit Season. Duck Season. Wabbit Season. Clash of the Titans 2D. Clash of the Titans 3D. 2D. 3D. ENOUGH ALREADY! Finally, the answer has come down. Yes, Louis Leterrier's remake of Clash of the Titans will make it into theatres in both 2D and 3D formats, though not shot with a 3D effect in mind.
Director Patrick Rea dropped us a line with an update on his upcoming sophomore feature, Nailbiter, and laid four new stills on us as well.
It was just a little over a week ago that we reported that Louis Leterrier's Clash of the Titans remake would not be in 3D. But you know Hollywood! She's a fickle beast! Especially when the scent of money is in the air!
Actually it's more like one sentence than a whole conversation, but for those of us jonesing for some news about the Cloverfield sequel, anything J.J. Abrams says about it is most welcome!
As if he doesn't have his hands full enough with The Crow remake, Stephen Norrington has been tapped by Legendary Pictures to write and direct The Lost Patrol, "a supernatural action thriller set against the backdrop of World War II."
There's been a lot of speculation as to whether or not Louis Leterrier's Clash of the Titans remake will be in 3D, particularly since the content seems to lend itself so well to the format, but the director has put the kibosh on that idea, stating, "We just won't have time."
The Blackout recently caught a lot of crap for having posters that resembled those from Feast. Yes, it showed the profile of a monster looking down, etc. Well, the folks behind the film aren't going to have to worry about those comparisons again as their six new character one-sheets are truly unique, albeit a bit boring.
A couple of months ago we featured some artwork for a little creature feature called The Blackout. The one-sheet had fans in a bit of a stir due to the fact that it looked -- a lot -- like the poster for Feast. As a means to rectify the situation, some new imagery has been fashioned showing off the film's beastie!
