Rob Zombie Shares New Images of Mockingbird Lane from THE MUNSTERS!

Zombie is back again with more pre-production images from his forthcoming feature film, The Munsters

Since he landed in Budapest last month, the director has been busy sharing updates about the film’s pre-production journey. Since then, we’ve been privy to a ton of behind-the-scenes designs. These include Grampa Munster’s wig, costume design illustrations, the actual blueprints for Mockingbird Lane itself, and even a short production design video.

The Munsters director has once again taken to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes images — this time giving us a sneak peek at the paved roads of Mockingbird Lane!

Check it out:

The original The Munsters series lasted for two seasons on NBC back in 1964. While the original run of the franchise was short-lived, it went on to produce countless television specials and the 1981 spin-off The Munsters Today.

Zombie’s latest take on The Munsters will also mark the first film in the franchise since Munsters, Go Home! In 1966.

The original cast of The Munsters featured Fred Gwynne, Yvonne de Carlo, Beverly Owen, Butch Patrick and Al Lewis as Grandpa Munster. Together the group played the average nuclear American family. Except for the fact that they were literal monsters!

Synopsis from the 1964 series:

A family of friendly monsters have misadventures, never quite understanding why people react to them so strangely.

Lastly, The Munsters will likely head to theatres and streamer Peacock sometime in 2022. There are lots of rumours about the upcoming film online, so keep an eye on Dread Central for the best information as it rolls in.
