Well, here's some completely unexpected and, dare we say it, pretty bitchin' news. We here at Dread Central are just as annoyed as you are when it comes to needless remakes. However, put someone of the caliber of say, oh, Sam Raimi, at the helm of one? Yes, you have now gotten our full and eager attention.
A couple of stories are floating around the Net having to do with the upcoming remake of Carrie. One involves the actress MGM is zeroing in on to play Carrie's religious fanatic mother, and the other implies that we could be looking at, at least partially, a found footage film.
We're pretty damned stoked that Chloe Moretz will be the one playing everyone's favorite murderous anti-bully, Carrie White, but with the exception of some Twitter rumblings, the actress has been tight-lipped. Until now.
