And the Oscar gold goes to… everything but the few genre films which were nominated at the 2013 Academy Awards. Overall the entire show was a snooze, and we mean that literally! See that for yourself and more.

Just to recap:
Frankenweenie and ParaNorman lost the Oscar for Best Animated Feature to Brave.

Snow White and the Huntsman lost the Oscars for Costume Design and Visual Effects to Anna Karenina and Life of Pi, respectively.

Prometheus lost the Oscar for Visual Effects to Life of Pi.

Hitchcock lost the Oscar for Makeup and Hairstyling to Les Misérables.

Now, on to the one bright spot of the entire affair… during the acceptance speech for Lincoln‘s Academy Award win for Production Design, the camera panned to the crowd to reveal William Shatner dead asleep in the audience. We hear ya, Bill. In fact we’re right there with you!

There were also two close contenders for bright spot of the entire affair – The Hunger Games‘ Jennifer Lawrence falling flat on her face while going up the stairs to collect her Academy Award for Best Actress in the Silver Linings Playbook….

And finally Meryl Streep digging out a wedgie from the crack of her Oscar-winning ass while heading to the podium to deliver the Best Actor award to Daniel Day-Lewis for Lincoln!
