Mehcad Brooks
Life has a funny way of turning things around. For the last few days I've been getting chastised for thinking that The Devil Inside was a decent little flick. Everywhere I turn I've been getting browbeaten. That's okay though. I have no problem taking my lumps and I stand by my words no matter what. Still, it's been kind of taxing, but then ... then I see a DVD cover that just brings a smile back to my face.
The plan to release Creature (review here) on 1,500 movie screens will go down as one of the most ill-conceived and costly mistakes in film distribution history. Grossing a miserable $331,000 on its opening weekend and earning the dubious distinction of being the worst 1,500-screen or more movie release in history, the producers had better hope the March DVD release is met with greater fanfare. Or should I say any fanfare?
Here I was planning to do a story posting this past Friday night’s “Nightline” segment about Creature’s box office apocalypse when I find out the film’s director did an interview lashing out at every online critic that didn’t like his movie in a way not seen since Uwe Boll’s famous online tirade following the release of House of the Dead.
This weekend indie monster movie Creature hit 1,500 theaters nationwide, which, for better or for worse, is a pretty magnificent feat regardless. Starring Mehcad Brooks, Serinda Swan, Amanda Fuller, Dillon Casey, Lauren Schneider, Aaron Hill, Daniel Bernhardt, and Sid Haig, Creature (review here) is centered around a group of friends on a road trip in New Orleans who have the misfortune of meeting "Lockjaw," a fabled half-man/half-alligator during their travels.
Today we finally get to the soul of Creature (review here) so to speak, with some behind-the-scenes videos in which the filmmakers talk about what goes into the making of the monster. Go check it out below.

Today we have more behind-the-scenes videos from the movie Creature for you to check out, and this time we get to hear from the ambitious filmmakers themselves. So dig on the goods below and let them tell you all about it.
Ready for a quick look at the independently made and eponymous creature feature that showcases Sid Haig and a swamp monster in a showdown? Yeah, we are, too! So we did some digging and got our claws into several behind-the-scenes videos by the filmmakers themselves! Pull up a chair, dreadheads; it's time to learn a bit more about Creature.
Creature, opening in theaters on September 9 and starring Mehcad Brook, Serinda Swan, and Sid Haig, will have a companion 30-minute TV special called "Anatomy of a Creature" that will air from this Sunday, August 28, up until the theatrical release date in markets around the US.
Sid Haig and a swamp monster. There's really not a whole hell of a lot else we need to be sold on the upcoming flick Creature, but in case you need a bit more persuading, we've lined up four clips for you to dig on!
We don't know about you guys, but we are really looking forward to the upcoming monster mash Creature. Hell, if only because it features Sid Haig and a guy in a rubber monster suit! Bring it on!
A new trailer is here for the indie feature Creature that features a pissed off and rather toothy swamp monster on the rampage. Really, do you need to know anything more than just that? Get to watching!
What's in a name? Apparently a lot as the latest movie about a badass swamp monster getting ready to maim everyone in its way is up to moniker number three, but it looks as if this one will be sticking!
It's amazing how much fear and fright Mr. Sid Haig can convey with just a simple look and a smile. In these three exclusive new clips from Fred M. Andrews' creature feature Blood is Blood we get that and much more! Why three clips? Because it's Valentine's Day weekend, and Sid and I love you!
Remember that teaser trailer from a while back featuring a badass swamp creature getting ready to really do a number on a poor helpless victim? Come on, kids! Those are the best kind! In any event we are happy to bring you the latest trailer for Fred M. Andrews' Blood is Blood.
