Max Landis’ Spec Script DEEPER Picks Up ADRIFT Director

Today we have word via Variety that screenwriter Max Landis’ (Bright) spec script Deeper is heading to the screen via MGM and director Baltasar Kormakur.
Kormakur is best known for directing such flicks as the Mark Wahlberg thriller Contraband, Everest starring Josh Brolin and Jason Clarke, 2 Guns with Wahlberg and Denzel Washington, and Adrift starring Shailene Woodley.

Landis will also produce with David Goyer, Kevin Turren, and Addictive Pictures. Production is expected to start this spring.
Synopsis:
The film follows a former astronaut, who was hired to take a submersible to the deepest part of the ocean. Supernatural events transpire as the vehicle gets closer to its destination.
